# Moderation Guidelines

This guide explains the rules for moderating in the Discord server.

As a Discord moderator, you should be setting an example for both your fellow co-workers, and community members. Please ensure you are following these guidelines while moderating:

* Don't abuse commands.\
  Don't take moderation action against users who have not broken a rule.
* Do not jokingly show or use commands.\
  Do not use moderation commands as a joke. This includes saying things such as "pointb13-" to threaten a permanent ban.

Abusing moderation commands will result in severe consequences. Please make sure you are using commands appropriately, responsibly, and honestly.&#x20;
