This page will explain all rules that players must follow and the punishment for breaking them.

Offense and Punishment Terms

Shoulder to Shoulder

STS

An STS is a form of action where players must stand shoulder to shoulder while a staff member goes through rules.

Fail Roleplay

FRP

FRP is when a member fails to roleplay a scenario accurately, realistically, or properly.

Random Deathmatch

RDM

RDM is when a user harms another user for no reason, or an invalid reason.

Vehicle Deathmatch

VDM

VDM is when a user intentionally collides with a vehicle for no reason, or for an invalid reason.

New Life Rule

NLR

NLR is when a user is killed or respawns and doesn't roleplay as a different character or revenge kills.

Using Banned Gear

UBG

UBG is when a user equips and uses a weapon or vehicle without authorization.

No Intention to Roleplay

NITRP

NITRP is when a user trolls or interacts with other users without an intention to roleplay.

Leave to Avoid Punishment

LTAP

LTAP is when a user leaves the game to avoid being punished by a moderator.

Verbal Warning

VW

A Verbal Warning is a warning of which isn't logged and has no negative impact on a user.

Warning 1/2/3

W1/W2/W3

W1/W2/W3 are incrementally severe warnings that let the player know that they have been consequenced.

Radio Traffic Only

RTO

RTO is a rule that means that radio channels should only be used for that service and are not for general conversations.

Rule 1, Death Match

This rule outlines the fact that VDM and RDM are prohibited.

  • Kick (During a staff scene or Mass VDM)

  • Ban (Mass RDM)

Rule 2, FRP

This rule outlines the fact that everybody should roleplay properly and realistically.

Punishments

  • Verbal Warning (Minor)

  • Warning

  • Kick (Mass or severe)

Rule 3, Rushing

This rule outlines the fact that everybody should be roleplaying service actions such as giving medical aid, arresting civilians, and towing vehicles.

Punishments

  • Warning (Severe)

  • Kick (Mass or extremely severe)

Rule 4, Fear for Life

This rule outlines the fact that civilians and LEO must fear for their lives when a weapon is being pointed at them.

Rule 5, Staff Intervention

This rule highlights staff authority.

  • Kick (Severe)

  • Ban (Staff impersonation, or mass violations)

Rule 6, Vehicle Regulations

This rule outlines server-universal guidelines for all vehicles.

Punishments

  • Warning

  • Kick (Mass violations or refusing to correct)

Rule 7, New Life Rule

This rule outlines the fact that if you are killed, you should roleplay as an entirely different person.

  • Verbal Warning (Minor)

  • Warning

Rule 8, Kidnapping and Hostages

This rule outlines the regulations for hostage situations, as well as the fact that some service workers may not be taken hostage.

Rule 9, Interruption

This rule outlines restrictions for involving yourself in scenes, as well as some information for staff scenes.

Rule 10, Avatars and Uniforms

This rule outlines restrictions upon players' avatars in-game.

  • Warning (Severe)

Rule 11, Liveries

This rule outlines the fact that you must be driving a server provided livery.

  • Verbal Warning (Minor)

Rule 12, Banned Roleplay

This rule outlines roleplays that are prohibited in the server.

Punishments

  • Kick

  • Warning (Minor)

  • Ban (ToS Breaking/Severe)

Rule 13, Language

This rule outlines the fact that all users must speak English in the server.

Punishments

  • Kick (If they don't speak English fluently)

Rule 14, Safe Zones

This rule outlines the fact that roleplays or priority events may not occur in certain areas.

  • Jail

  • Warning (Minor)

Stacking

At Ontario Provincial Roleplay, punishment stacking takes place. The punishments listed below each offense are merely base punishments, and if the user has committed an offense multiple times, or has committed multiple offenses, they may be stacked upon. For example, if a user fails to use a livery and they instigate a priority event in a safe zone, they will be jailed and warned.
