Shoulder to Shoulder

Information

This guide explains how to perform an STS.

Over time, you will experience a server that contains people that do not understand how to roleplay properly. Sometimes, the server will have many of these people, and you will need to explain to them how to roleplay and adhere to our rules.

Make sure you're only hosting an STS when at least 3 of the following are true:

  • Excessive rule breaking throughout the server

  • At least 4 mod calls at a time

  • Most of the mod calls are instances where a user has broken a rule

  • There are not enough mods online to handle the server

  • It is clear that users do not understand how to play properly

If the server meets this criteria, you are allowed to host an STS. Make sure you are getting a Senior Admin's permission before doing so, or if you already are one, host it yourself.

Once you have permission to host an STS, begin by saying the following command:

:m ⚠️ An STS will be hosted within 2 minutes to explain the server's rules. Please finish up all roleplays.

After announcing the STS, make your way to Southern Avenue by the civilian spawn. Make sure to follow all traffic rules while doing so. Park your car on the sidewalk.

The player's view should look like this. If you are at the wrong place, move immediately.

Once you're at the STS location, park your car and turn on stage 1 lighting. After you have done so, leave your vehicle and stand to the side or in front of it. Do not stand on your vehicle.

Continue with the following commands: :wanted others :unwanted others

:load others :bring others :load others :bring others

From this point on, allow for at least 6 seconds to pass in-between each message.

:m Stand shoulder to shoulder on the yellow line!

:m Welcome to Ontario Provincial Roleplay, I'm the host of this STS.

:m Today I'll be going over our server's rules. Please hold any questions until I'm done, and do not leave the line.

:m Before I begin, this server is Dizzy only. Make sure to join our server. Server code r-b-H-g-r-N-b-9-x-8 (no dashes).

:m ⚠️ Rule I, Do not RDM or VDM in the server.

:m ⚠️ Rule II, Do not FRP in the server. Roleplay properly and realistically.

:m ⚠️ Rule III, Do not rush. Say -cuffs- before cuffing and check in with patients before aiding them.

:m ⚠️ Rule IV, Fear for your life while roleplaying. If someone is pointing a gun at you, you may not dodge their bullets.

:m ⚠️ Rule V, Mind staff members. If a staff member teleports to you, pause all roleplay. If a staff member is pulling you over, pull over.

:m ⚠️ Rule VI, Vehicle Regulations. You may travel at a maximum of 110 MPH. Exotics are server booster only. FD, EMS, and DOT may not patrol.

:m ⚠️ Rule VII, NLR. If you are killed in combat, you MUST roleplay as a different person.

:m ⚠️ Rule VIII, Kidnapping and Hostages. FD and DOT may not be involved in kidnappings. Hostages are limited to 6 people, and require Admin permissions.

:m ⚠️ Rule IX, Do not participate in scenes that you do not have business getting yourself into.

:m ⚠️ Rule X, All avatars must be realistic. You must wear a uniform provided by the server when roleplaying as a service worker.

:m ⚠️ Rule XI, You may only drive server provided liveries.

:m ⚠️ Rule XII, You may not participate in any of our prohibited roleplays. These are explained in our communications server.

:m ⚠️ Rule XIII, You must speak English to be in our server.

:m ⚠️ Rule XIV, You may not commit crimes or start roleplays in our safe zones. These are explained in our communications server.

:m That concludes the rules. Please allow a moderator to review your avatars to make sure they are realistic.

You may do this yourself if you are hosting alone, otherwise allow another moderator to review avatars.

:m Thank you for attending the STS. If you have any other questions, please ask them now. Otherwise, you are dismissed.

:m During the priority timer, you may not attempt to start roleplays or priority events. Doing so will result in an immediate jail. Please spread out.
