Age Verification

Information

This page highlights information on how we handle underaged users, and how we verify their age.

At Ontario Provincial Roleplay, one of our key aspects of our community is honesty. We require all users to follow Discord Terms of Service, which includes being above the age of 13 years old or higher depending on your jurisdiction and child protection laws.

When you're violating these laws, you're not only violating Discord, and putting them at risk of sanctions, you're violating our trust. This is especially true if you're a staff member. You are expected to act as a role model for other members, and lying to the server is not the way or do that. When we receive a report about a user being under the legal age to be on Discord, we will investigate. If we find that there's reasonable suspicion to assume you are under the age of 13, we will suspend you.

You will immediately be placed under investigation, and as such an indefinite suspension. You will remain under investigation until either you prove your age to us or 3 days passes. You may verify your age in the following ways:

  • Proving that you have Roblox VC enabled

  • Sending a legal form of identification

  • Sending a selfie of yourself with your Roblox Username attached

  • Another approved form of verification

If you are unable to prove that you are over the age of 13, or there is still suspicion after verifying, you will immediately be banned from the server. We do not keep track of or take risks of unbanning you too early, so the ban will be permanent. This is theoretically appealable if you can come up with a form of identification afterwards.

We will always investigate you after a report of you being underaged, and will never jump to conclusions. The only way we would immediately ban you is if you yourself admit the fact that you are underaged.
